Finally, students choose three pieces of advice that they think are the most useful and explain why it is sometimes difficult to follow them. They need to add the word yourself to five of them. After that, students look at a list of advice on how to be happy. For example, they need to decide what the difference between two statements is: one with yourself and one with yourselves. Then, they do a task which will help them understand when and how to use reflexive pronouns. They also choose a situation or two that they relate to and give some detail s. In this part of the lesson, students look at eight situations and choose a correct reflexive pronoun in each of them. After that, students share their views on the advice from the video and add their own advice to the list. While watching the video for the second time, students note down three pieces of advice not mentioned in the previous task. ![]() The speakers in the video use reflexive pronouns which students will practise in the second part of the lesson. Then, they watch the video and check their answers. Before watching the video, students look at some advice people in the video give to their younger self and guess what words are missing. They also discuss some questions about being happy.
